Is it possible to "focus" an X-ray to a single point source? If so what kind of losses would occur in intensity.

Yes, but not like regular light. X-rays have an index of refraction less than 1 so you can't use regular lenses to focus the x-ray beam. There are a few different methods, such as using fiber optic to help bend the light until it starts to focus. There are also methods where you have many air gaps inside a material and then this bends the beam using the fact that the index of refraction is less than one.

In general it is all wavelength dependent and may require a bit of space for the optics.
